Press release on the signing of the agreement between Avesta Investment Group and AIFC GFC
Avesta Investment Group and AIFC Green Finance Centre Ltd (AIFC GFC) are pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at cooperation in the development of green financing instruments and practices in Uzbekistan. The signing ceremony took place in Tashkent on October 26, 2023, in the presence of representatives from both companies, as well as partners from AIX and the AIFC.
Under the MoU, the parties will cooperate in the following areas:
- mutual promotion at regional and international levels;
- participation as speakers or partners in seminars, conferences, business forums, and other events aimed at promoting sustainable financing instruments in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan;
- assistance in the search for mutual projects;
- raising awareness about the possibility of attracting green financing for private and public companies;
- exchange of information on national and international efforts for sustainable financing.
Avesta Investment Group and AIFC GFC hope that the signed agreement and further cooperation will contribute to the mobilization of financial resources for sustainable development and promote the development of green finance in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, which is an important step towards transitioning to a low-carbon economy.
